It can be slow, intense, and a tad too sardonic for some people, but Department Q is a well-crafted detective series that keeps you on the edge of your seat till the end. Like Slow Horses before it, it follows a group of misfit (and therefore likeable) cops eager to prove their skills to the eagle-eyed public. In Department Q, the outcasts are tasked to solve cold cases, and reluctantly leading them is DCI Carl Morck (Matthew Goode), a cynical and antisocial genius with a heart of gold. Department Q is as much about the difficult cases as it is about Morck and the characters’ battling their personal demons.
